Tuition Assistance

“I cannot even begin to express my gratitude for the magical place/experience that is Waldorf. When we showed up on your doorstep, we were in need of a safe space, a community that would allow our child to grow and flourish, and we struck gold, in all of you and this very special place. So, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I am forever grateful.” WSA Grade 8 Parent

The Waldorf School of Atlanta is committed to making our school affordable for families from a wide range of economic backgrounds and maintaining a student body that is socioeconomically diverse. The Tuition Assistance program is designed to bridge the gap between what a family can afford to pay and the full cost of tuition. Families must demonstrate financial need to qualify for aid. In return, we seek families who are committed to the Waldorf philosophy, values and community.

Admissions decisions are made without regard to financial need. Decisions about tuition assistance are made separately. Grants are made annually, and a new application is required each year, as family circumstances and the program’s allotment may change. Grants typically range from 30 to 50% of annual tuition, and the maximum award is an 80% discount.

The Tuition Assistance Program supports students in Preschool through Grade 8, however, students must be enrolled in a program 5 days/week to be eligible.

The Tuition Assistance Committee will determine the amount of this year’s grants using Clarity, an independent vendor, which will establish each family’s level of financial need based on the information that families share in the application. This includes assets, income, expenses, and debts. To get started, please go to the Clarity Application and create an account. The application typically takes around 30 minutes to complete. The Clarity Application is mobile-friendly, and you can save your progress and return at any time. There is a $60 fee to submit an application. Please return to the dashboard after submitting the Clarity Application to upload additional tax documents including a W-2 for individuals and tax documents for business owners.

Clarity recently hosted a webinar to assist with the completion of the Tuition Assistance Application. You can view it here: https://us06web.zoom.us/rec/share/Jt0Emr85y5Y2zYasssj8nqhKSbzmFImeoShU9A9ELaZIBIH9ScsoJPbQQDISnwc.WRIePbSvVilAbSZC  (Passcode: 2K#quU1R)

We are still accepting tuition assistance applications for the 2024-25 school year.
